Elafonissos is a tiny island with scenic beaches and emerald waters. It constitutes  an ideal holiday destination for nature-lovers, for those who want to escape from normal routine  and relax.

It is located on the southern side of Peloponnese.
Elafonissos means in Greek “the island of deers”, probably due to the rich hunting that existed in the region in the antiquity. As it is reported by Pausanias there was a statue of Artemis  who was the Goddess of hunting in the region.
